Want to collaborate with musicians, but not sure where to start? This workshop with Iona Lee, poet and frontwoman of poetry-led band Acolyte, and DJ Nikki Kent has you covered. We’ll play with rhythm and tone, listening and responding, reflect on performance, experimentation and the musicality of language, and have the chance to try it all out.

During our new residency programme, poet Iain Morrison and visual artist Corin Sworn explored Little Sparta Ian Hamilton Finlay’s art garden, becoming fascinated by the challenges of keeping this living artwork in good health during ongoing climate catastrophe. Join us for an artist’s talk about the garden and a performance of Iain and Corin’s new work.

Led by spoken word artist and fight director EmmaClaire Brightlyn, this is a chance to be bold in your writing. Alternating bursts of writing prompts with basic sword work involving gentle and dynamic movement, this workshop will see writers parry words, cut lines and clash ideas. Bring your own notebook and pen. Swords provided!

Investigating the theme of ‘The Space Between’, these inventive performances by Gray Crosbie and Guy Woods, Catherine Street and Nancy Burns, and Sunnah Khan explore poetry in conversation with sound design, archives and film.
