Kathleen Jamie’s The Keelie Hawk
The Keelie Hawk is the new landmark collection from celebrated poet and non-fiction writer Kathleen Jamie. A resonant collection written in Scots, with accompanying English translation, it promises to be a significant moment for both Scottish literature and language.
Formerly Scotland’s Makar (2021 to 2024) Jamie has won the Forward Prize, Scottish Book of the Year Award, and the Costa Poetry Award, and been shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. She is also the Chair of Creative Writing at Stirling University. Joining her to discuss this new collection is Scottish writer and presenter, Alistair Heather.
