Songwriters Circle
*We’re sorry, this event has been cancelled*
Songwriting is a complex creative process that combines melody, rhythm, and lyrics to express stories, emotions, and ideas. But where do song and lyric writers find their inspirations, and how do they develop into pieces of music?
At this Songwriters Circle our panel of musicians discuss the backstory to their songs. Multi-award winning hip-hop and improvised rap comedian MC Hammersmith, spoken word poet and rapper/musician ACE V!S!ON, and poet and singer-songwriter Christie Kandiwa will share their insights and inspirations. This panel will be chaired by Arusa Qureshi, author of Flip the Script: How Women Came to Rule Hip Hop.
