
Maria Sledmere
Maria Sledmere is a poet, editor and senior lecturer in English and Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde. Her work explores issues of ecology, technology and the everyday, often through the nexus of poetry and dreamwork. Books include The Indigo Hours (Broken Sleep, 2025), Languishing, cute – with Ian Macartney (Tapsalteerie, 2025), Midsummer Song (Hypercritique) (Tenement Press, 2024), Cinders (Krupskaya Books, 2024), An Aura of Plasma Around the Sun (Hem Press, 2023), Cocoa and Nothing – with Colin Herd (SPAM Press, 2023), Visions & Feed (HVTN Press, 2022), The Luna Erratum (Dostoyevsky Wannabe, 2021) and the weird folds: everyday poems from the anthropocene – edited with Rhian Williams (Dostoyevsky Wannabe, 2020). She is managing editor of SPAM Press and one half of the performance duo Project Somnolence.
