Imogen Stirling

Imogen Stirling is a playwright, poet and producer. Her show Love The Sinner, produced by Vanishing Point, toured Scotland supported by Creative Scotland. It was nominated for three CATS Awards including Best New Play. Her debut play, Starving, was presented by A Play, A Pie and A Pint in association with Raw Material and Traverse Theatre. She is currently developing a new play with support from Playwrights’ Studio Scotland and mentorship from Morgan Lloyd Malcolm. As a dramaturg, Imogen specialises in the intersection of poetry, theatre and music. She was Associate Dramaturg to Jeanie O’Hare at Dundee Rep and Cove Park’s international Musical Theatre Writing Residency. Festival performances include Glastonbury, Latitude Festival, Anniki Runofestivaali and Edinburgh International Book Festival, and she represented Scotland at Tranpoesie Festival in Brussels. She features on Sky Arts’ BAFTA-winning television show Life & Rhymes and was shortlisted for the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry. Benjamin Zephaniah called Imogen’s writing 'the work of a lyrical genius.’
