Fionnbarr Byrne and Emma Capponi are an experimental folk duo from Edinburgh. They fuse elements of traditional song with modern instruments, mesmerising audiences with their close harmonies, murky tonalities and deftly woven narratives. Synthesisers, shruti drone, and flutes take us beyond the traditional guitar and vocal sound, evoking a time when the melodies were strange and the stories ancient.
