
Colin Bramwell
Colin Bramwell was born in Ayrshire, grew up in Fortrose on the Black Isle and lives in Edinburgh. His poetry has appeared in Poetry Review, Irish Pages, Poetry London, The London Magazine, PN Review, and others. He was the runner-up for the 2020 Edwin Morgan Prize, and his translations of Taiwanese poets won the John Dryden Translation Competition (2018) and the Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Prize (2024). Colin holds a doctorate in creative writing from the University of St Andrews. His book of translations from Fernando Pessoa into Scots, Fower Pessoas, was published by Carcanet in 2025: Stuart Kelly described it as 'a revelation.' His next book, a first collection of original poems, will be published by And Other Stories in 2026.
