How to Succeed as a Creative Freelancer
Making it as a writer involves a whole host of skills alongside simply writing – from performing and delivering workshops, to juggling different jobs, promoting your own work and chasing up invoices. Writers are rarely just writers; they’re creative freelancers wearing multiple hats. Today we’re joined by Heather Parry, author of The Illustrated Freelancers Guide, Ola Wojtkiewicz, director of Creative Edinburgh, and Jennie E. Owen from the Open University to discuss how you can navigate the gig economy, while still making time for the important thing: writing.
Chaired through the ConVERSE Emerging Chairs Programme with the University of Edinburgh.
