Kemi George Simpson

Winner of the Good Day Cork Poetry Prize, Kemi George Simpson is the Munster Poetry Slam Champion. Published in Swerve, The Four Faced Liar, and the Cork Poetry in the Park Collection, Kemi holds an MA in Creative Writing from UCC and curates Cork City Library's Poets Library. Performances include Cork International Poetry Festival, West Cork Literature Festival, and Electric Picnic. Much of Kemi's work is rooted in urban nature. She follows the curve of tree branches to stop her mind from getting stuck.
