Caroline Birdās Ambush at Still Lake shows us the ambush of real life that occurs in the stillness after the happy ending, while Ella Frearsā Goodlord: An Email is a genre-defying book that takes the form of one long email, addressed to an estate agent. In this recording they talk about their work and the absurdity, heartbreak, and unexpected humour that comes from writing at the edges of form and feeling.
