David McNeish

David McNeish regularly recites his own poetry at gigs where they sit alongside his original songs. His first play Thora was written as an epic poem in dialogue between Thora and her dead son St Magnus, set in 12th century Orkney. He is currently working with Eden Court theatre on a commission to celebrate life in Lairg and the surrounding area. Weathering, an album of original songwriting, was launched in October 2024. His work therefore sits at the convergence of theatre, poetry and music. In Deep is his first collaboration with physical theatre.
