Titans of Poetry: Caroline Bird and Ella Frears
2024 has been an incredible year for UK poetry publishing, and in partnership with the Forward Prizes for Poetry, we are thrilled to bring together two poets who have released razor sharp collections. Caroline Bird’s Ambush at Still Lake shows us the ambush of real life that occurs in the stillness after the happy ending. Ella Frears’ Goodlord: An Email is a genre-defying book that takes the form of one long email, addressed to an estate agent.
Chaired by Festival Director, Emma Collins, Caroline and Ella discuss the themes of their books and the world which we inhabit.
This event will be BSL interpreted.
