Young Verses with Score Scotland
Join the young people from Tynecastle High School as they share poetry, music and stories created with Bee Asha and Kat Borrowdale (for Push the Boat Out) and Davie Luhanga (for SCOREScotland). Expect flights of fantasy and tales of belonging, difference and place.
Building on a partnership between Push the Boat Out and SCOREScotland which began in 2023, this project takes our creative poetry and music workshops into a local high school. We’ll be working with the young people over 6 workshops between September and November 2026. They’ll be creating new work to share with you based on their own interests and creative vision. Come along and hear the freshest voices in spoken word!
SCOREScotland advocates for social justice and equal opportunity and is committed to supporting and empowering those who face discrimination. They have a goal of building a cohesive and harmonious society where everyone can thrive and they work in partnership with others to address the causes and effects of racism and to promote racial equality.
