Glasgow Women's Library Presents: Margaret Tait & Calm Slam

Glasgow Women’s Library is the only Accredited Museum in the UK dedicated to women’s lives, histories, and achievements, with a lending library, archive collections and innovative programmes of public events & learning opportunities. Open the Door is GWL’s annual festival that breaks down the barriers between writers and readers and generates poignant, important discussions. Calm Slam is a recent addition to Open the Door festival. It is a competition for video slam poetry, for every woman who loves poetry but might be a little intimidated by the spotlight. Margaret Tait: Film Poet is a documentary about life and works of a Scottish poet and filmmaker, Margaret Tait.
