Patrick Errington
Patrick James Errington is a Scottish-Canadian poet, translator, and interdisciplinary researcher. Collected in two chapbooks, Glean and Field Studies, and the collection the swailing (McGill-Queens University Press 2023), Patrick's poems also regularly feature in journals and anthologies worldwide and have won numerous awards, including the Poetry International Prize, the Callan Gordon Award from the Scottish Book Trust, and the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award from the Writers' Trust of Canada. As a translator, Patrick has brought the poetry of singer-songwriter PJ Harvey into French, as well as the work of French-Algerian poet and painter Hamid Tibouchi and the French-Romanian philosopher E.M. Cioran into English. Patrick is currently a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh where he researches poetry, literary theory, and neuroaesthetics.
